Just before summer of 2013, I shared with you what I considered to be the best songs/music for an African wedding. As you know, weddings and music are as close as the bride and the groom. You just can’t have one without the other if you are to have a wedding. Of course things are changing or have changed.Nowadays you can be invited to a groom and groom wedding.But that’s whole another topic.
After comments, suggestions and over the bar counters arguments, I am glad to report that we now have an extended list. From 23 songs in the original post, we now have 45.As you will notice, this list is a combination of music from many African nations but not all of them. You will notice that Nigeria has somehow taken over,right? Well…they happen to have lots of songs with wedding themes. So,if you are from a country that didn’t make it to this list, do me a favor of making use of the comments section. Mention the song I should have included and I guarantee you, as the list grows, your tune will be in.I am pretty sure the list will keep growing and by next summer, we going to be jamming into more tunes. So keep your suggestions coming. I appreciate them all.
